PTA Attendance Theres a new cat in town! Spirit the Wildcat has been retired up on the trophy case after being loved by many students the last 7 years. In his place is a new Spirit who is larger and ready to take on the Arroyo Vista mascot tradition!
Congratulations to Mrs. Renz First Grade Class for having the highest parent attendance at the March PTA meeting! Spirit the Wildcat will be residing in her room until the May PTA Meeting. Her class was presented with the mascot and received a special key chain for their backpacks. Thank you to the members who attended and showed their spirit. Three winners to assist Mr. Brooks with The Pledge of Allegiance/Announcements and three winners for Middle School Front-of-the-Line Lunch Passes were drawn at the end of the meeting. Congratulations to those students! Look for your chance to show your spirit this school year in May 2009. Mrs. Renz Wins Community Teacher of the Year Award!!! Wal-Mart presented Mrs. Renz, first grade teacher, with a Teacher of the Year Award Sept. 17th. She was nominated by a community member and then voted on as the winner from a pool of candidates. Mrs. Renz was awarded $1000 for our school and a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart. Congratulations to Mrs. Renz for the well deserved recognition. |
