Have a Heart…Stuff the BusOn Saturday, February 20, 2010, the Tesoro Family of Schools PTA units, sponsored a food drive with the theme of Have a Heart…Stuff the Bus. The Tesoro family of schools includes seven campuses; Tesoro High School, Las Flores Middle School, Arroyo Vista Middle and Elementary School, Las Flores Elementary School, Tijeras Creek Elementary School, Wagon Wheel Elementary School, and Chaparral Elementary School. This year the Tesoro family of schools sponsored one event, at one location, to benefit one recipient! All donations were delivered to the Father Serra’s Food Pantry in San Juan Capistrano. Currently donations help nearly 600 families (that’s 2,200 individuals), most of which have students in Capistrano Unified School District. The "Stuffed Bus" arrived at Father Serras Food Pantry filled!Thank you to all of the Tesoro Family of Schools and PTA units for their support, and to all of the student volunteers from Lions Heart that helped that day.
